Jacqueline Hernandez

Jacqueline began her teaching journey in 2016 as a 200-hour RYT. Her personal practice has since led her to be educated in Yin yoga, in addition to Reiki, as a level I & II attuned practitioner with a passion for continuing to explore various healing modalities, both modern and historic.
Her teaching style emanates an awareness that results from a culmination of her background in dance and movement studies, martial arts, and previous experience in a rehabilitation setting - first as a patient recovering from injury/surgery and then as a physical therapist aide. Jacqueline encourages the idea of yoga as a practice that meets you where you’re at, and strives for people to feel supported in that notion at all times. Starting right where you are, just as you are, is something she observes her personal experience to give credence to as a path of peace and self-empowerment.
She is careful to impart guidance that places emphasis on honoring the body, working within safe range, and developing the type of strength and skills that allow a practice to be taken to new heights. She understands the value of being articulate in word and in deed, moving with intention, finding a deepened, effortless breath, and how all of that can translate to the way one moves through life off the mat.
Becoming a certified yoga instructor remains an accomplishment Jacqueline is most proud of to this day, alongside the joy of becoming a new mother; ever the teacher, ever the student, ever-evolving and enjoying the ride.

Come join Jacqueline on Wednesday's at 9:30am in Denville
