Jennifer began her yoga practice in 2014 when her daughter Courtney introduced her to the practice. They began practicing at home together and she was ultimately hooked after a friend introduced her to her first hot yoga class. After eight years of dedicated practice, she received her Yoga Alliance RYT 200 Hour Yoga Certification and her 20 hour Mindfulness Life Coach Certification.
In addition to teaching yoga, Jennifer is also a Sociology Professor at WCCC. She holds a Ph.D. in Human Services with a specialization in Social and Community Services. Jennifer is the board chair for the WCCC Alumni Board, the VP on the Foundation Board, and a DASACC board member. She presents nationally at conferences on topics including cultural awareness, unconscious biases, and mindfulness practices.
